Hailing from the deep suburbs of Western Australia, I spent a large chunk of my childhood re-enacting pivotal scenes pulled from my favourite films and books, backed by a powerful supporting cast made up entirely from the Smash Hits posters taped to my bedroom wall.

Looking back, a career in film and music was almost inevitable.
